R.E. Gordon Davis, P.Eng.
Chairman and CEO

R.E. Gordon Davis is an independent geological engineer and has been the chairman and a director of Canplats Resources Corporation since March 2000. Mr. Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Geological Engineering in 1962. He was a director and senior executive with Dynasty Explorations Ltd. and its successor corporation, Cyprus Anvil Mining Corporation from 1964 -1982. Mr. Davis is a director on the boards of Silver Standard Resources Inc. and Pacific Ridge Explorations Ltd.

 
Bruce Youngman, B.Sc.
President and COO

Mr. Youngman has over twenty-five years of experience in mineral exploration and public company management. He was a director and vice president of Northern Dynasty Minerals Ltd. (NDM: TSX; NAK: AMEX) from 2001 to 2004 and its president and director from 1994 to 2001. During this time Mr. Youngman was responsible for the global project search that resulted in the identification and acquisition of the Pebble Gold-Copper Porphyry Project in Alaska. Mr. Youngman graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of British Columbia.

 
Kenneth C. McNaughton, M.A.Sc., P.Eng.
Vice President, Exploration

Mr. McNaughton was previously employed as a contract engineer for Oretech Engineering, and worked on exploration programs for three bulk mineable gold or copper/gold deposits in Arizona and British Columbia. From 1984 to 1989, he was employed by Corona Corporation and its affiliate Mascot Gold Mines Ltd. as a project geologist and engineer for projects in British Columbia. He has a B.A.Sc. and M.A.Sc. in geological engineering from the University of Windsor. He is currently vice president, exploration for Silver Standard Resources Inc.

 
Tom S.Q.Yip, C.A.
Vice President, Finance

Mr. Yip's career includes 22 years in senior financial management positions in the resources and mining industry. He has previously held the position of Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at Asarco, LLC. He also held finance roles of increasing responsibility at Echo Bay Mines Ltd., including Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer, before the company merged with Kinross Gold Corporation in 2003. Mr. Yip is a chartered accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration from the University of Alberta. Mr. Yip is currently Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Silver Standard Resources Inc.

 
John J. Kim
Corporate Secretary

Mr. Kim has over ten years experience as a paralegal working at several Vancouver law firms. Mr. Kim's experience is related matters regarding acquisitions, mergers, takeovers, initial public offerings, secondary financings, cross-border financings, stock option plans, public company disclosure requirements and stock exchange listings as well as SEDAR, SEDI and EDGAR filings. Mr. Kim is responsible for securities and corporate filings management for Canplats Resources Corporation. Additionally, Mr. Kim is the Corporate Secretary for Silver Standard Resources Inc.

 
Blaine A. Monaghan, B.A.
Director, Investor Relations

Blaine Monaghan has over eight years of experience providing investor relations counsel to TSX-V and TSX-listed companies, including Wheaton River Minerals Ltd. (acquired by Goldcorp Inc.), Nu Energy Uranium Corp. (acquired by Mega Uranium Ltd.) and Western Prospector Group Ltd. Blaine holds a B.A. from Simon Fraser University and a Diploma in Public Relations from the Public Relations Institute of Ireland. In addition, he has completed the CSC (Canadian Securities Course).

 
Tom Turner, M.Sc.
Senior Consultant

Mr. Turner has over thirty-five years' experience as an exploration geologist and as a project manager. Mr. Turner has been instrumental in the discovery of a number of significant mineral deposits, including the Penasco precious and base metal ore body, currently under development at Goldcorp Inc.'s Penasquito project, located 50km to the north of Canplats' Camino Rojo project.
