Camino Rojo is a new gold and polymetallic discovery and is the focus of Canplats' exploration. Located 50km southeast of Goldcorp's Penasquito mine in Mexico, Camino Rojo is over 150,000 hectares in size (580 square miles) and has returned drill intercepts up to 183 meters averaging 1.61 Grams per tonne gold. In addition to the Camino Rojo, Canplats maintains a portfolio of prospective precious and base metals properties in Mexico. Canplats' management team is comprised of geologists and mining engineers with extensive experience in the exploration, development, financing and operation of both underground and large-scale open pit mines.
