R.E. Gordon Davis is an independent geological engineer and has been the Chairman and a director of Canplats Resources Corporation since March 2000. Mr. Davis graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Geological Engineering in 1962. He was a director and senior executive with Dynasty Explorations Ltd. and its successor corporation, Cyprus Anvil Mining Corporation from 1964 - 1982. Mr. Davis is a director on the boards of Silver Standard Resources Inc. and Pacific Ridge Explorations Ltd.

Mr. Watkins is an international mining executive with over 40 years of experience in exploration and development, acquisitions and mergers, and mining operations. He graduated with a master of science degree in geology from Carleton University in 1970 and a bachelor of administration in geology from Queen's University in 1967.
Over his extensive career, Mr. Watkins has worked with Newmont Mining Corp., Noranda Inc., Falconbridge Copper Ltd. and was the president of Minnova Inc. Most recently, Mr. Watkins was the president of Cyprus Exploration and Development Corp., and senior vice-president, exploration for Cyprus Amax Minerals, and he is currently the chairman and chief executive officer of Atna Resources Ltd.
